The minutes of the Annual General meeting held on 1/11/1962 were read. Proposed Mr. (Edward) Hassett seconded Mr. (William) Elliott that minutes be accepted as correct. |
| Treasurer's
Report |
The Treasurer presented a statement of Receipts &
Expenditure for
the year which showed a credit balance of £122-2-4.
Moved Mr (John) Carroll seconded Mr Flood. |
| Correspondence | The following correspondence was read:
Beaumaris Community Centre - Festival in March Beaumaris Football Club - Requesting financial assistance National Trust of Australia (Victoria) - Save the Dandenongs Appeal Mrs (Susan) Macdougall moved the correspondence be received, seconded Mrs (Edith [Bea]) Hosking |

Report |
The Chairman, Mr (William)
Leech, read his Annual Report as President of the Society. He outlined
the society's activities of the year, which embraced the Foreshore,
Gramatan
Ave Reserve and Street Tree Planting and Publicity in the Newsletter.
Finally
he thanked the Secretary and Committee members for their assistance
throughout
the year.
Moved Mr. Synott seconded Mr. Murrell that Presidents report be received. |
| Auditor | Resolved that a letter be written to the Auditor, Mr (Rae) Sinclair, thanking him for his services regarding Audit. |

| Beaumaris Festival | Mr (Edward)
Hassett reported on the Proposed Festival to be held March 2-9.
Individual
Societies are to report back to their Committees and whatever they
propose
doing will be passed on to the organising committee.
Moved Mr (William) Elliott that we use models of houses and photographs to convey the message of Tree Preservation seconded Mr (Edward) Hassett. Mr (Edward) Hassett to be in charge of operations. |

Dandenongs Appeal |
Moved Mr (William) Elliott seconded Mr (Edward) Hassett that we write a letter to The Herald enclosing a £5/5/- donation to the Appeal. |
| Next Meeting | The next meeting to be held at 5 Coape Street, Cheltenham, on 3rd December 1962. |
