MINUTES OF THE 21ST ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING OF THE BEAUMARIS CONSERVATION SOCIETY 
HELD AT BEAUMARIS COMMUNITY CENTRE AT 8 PM ON 22ND OCTOBER 1973
 
President: Mr W (William) Ridland in the chair 
 
Present: 24 Committee members and friends, and Guest Speaker, Mrs Val Tarrant. 
 
Apologies Mr (John) Iggulden, Mr A. (Alan) Browne and Mr John Halliday 
 
Minutes of previous Annual General Meeting: 
 
were taken as read and received. Moved K. (Kenneth) Rendell, seconded K. (Keith) Tarrant, carried.
Annual Report: (as attached hereto) was read by the President, Mr (William) Ridland. Moved by Mrs (Sue) McDougall that report be received, seconded by Mrs (Bea) Hosking, carried. 
 
Treasurer's Report: Mr (Alfred) Gilford had been unable to make up a report. Moved by G. (Geoffrey) Goode, seconded by K. (Keith) Tarrant, that Treasurer be asked to present a report & balance sheet (audited) to the first Committee meeting of the new year. 
 
Election of Officer Bearers  
for 1973/74:
Mr (William) Ridland called for nominations, stating he could not stand for re-election. Mrs M Taylor was also unable to stand for re-election as Secretary. The following office bearers were elected:

General Business Mr (Keith) Tarrant spoke on behalf of P.P.C.C. regarding a protest meeting to be held objecting to a restaurant being built at Point Ormond. Mr Ridland then handed the meeting to the new president, Mr K Rendell, who expressed thanks for being elected & suggested the next meeting be held at his home 33 Clonmore St on 7th Nov. 1973. 
 
Mrs Val Tarrant gave a most interesting talk, showed slides, some of Lake Pedder before flooding. Mr (William) Ridland thanked Mrs Tarrant & the meeting closed at 10.10
